When I go to slap up my web 2.0 sites to create my links do I need to worry about trying to get those sites ranked high within Google or does it matter whether or not they peform well in the SERPS?

    The short answer is that some of the links need to rank or have traffic, or you sort of have a wheel that won't roll.
