Do Your Web 2.0's Index?

Hey there,

I recently created Weebly, blogspot, and wordpress blogs for my niche. I only have 3 right now because I'm creating unique content for all of them and trying to build them up as decent places to get links from.

I created these sites about a week and a half ago. I have about 1,000 words of unique content on each, posted over a 5 day period. On day 2 I bookmarked the pages with onlywire, on day 3 I pinged them, and on day 5 I submitted their RSS feeds to 4 different sites.

Today, none of them have been indexed. I was just wondering how long you thought this should take and if I should be worried at all. Also, if you have any tips for getting indexed faster I've be happy to hear them.

Thanks,

- Brandon

    Weebly: I haven't used

Blogspot: I stopped using. My newest blogspot blogs haven't been indexed. It's been a few months now. When I get a chance I'll add some new backlinks to them from some big blogs that usually work really well for getting a site indexed and see what happens.

Wordpress: Yes, they do get indexed. Like I mentioned above for the blogspot blogs, add a few comments on other big blogs to get the spiders crawling your site and it should be indexed fairly quickly.

I like to hit up the google blogs search and leave comments on those sites since they are currently ranking high for news and hot trends so I figure that google is crawling those sites often.

What web 2.0's do you like to use? I've heard them so highly regarded when it comes to link building and so I find it interesting that they can be so difficult to index.

I tend to stick with anything that offers wordpress... a lot of WPMU sites. This is only because I am comfortable with wordpress. Other sites like VOX drive me nuts.

There are a lot of sites that allow user blogs that I use as well. Lady GaGa would be a good example.

Blogger indexes well for me. I have a Blogger blog for one of my personal interests and most of my posts are indexed within 24 hours and several posts rank top 3 in Google SERPs without any substantial backlinking.

Wordpress is usually indexed but takes longer.

I once made a Weebly site and it didn't get indexed.

Those are just my experiences, your mileage may vary.

Don't worry, it takes more time these days. Google has become smart, and understands what people are using web 2.0s for. Moreover, with automated tools, churning out hundreds of web2.0 site pages everyday, search engines think thrice and take longer to index the pages.

But as I said, as long as you have good unique content (not scraped or rehashed stuff) you don't have anything to worry about and sooner or later they will be indexed. Some of my 2.0 pages were indexed after 2 months...some in 2 days.

Is it ok to add links to them before you're sure they're indexed? I mean let's say I've got a few unique 500 word articles on them then should i be fine posting a link in my posts from then on?
