Using Micro Niche Finder - Quick Video Tutorial

I made this short video to show something I frequently do with Micro Niche Finder to check if a niche is worth pursuing. Sometimes you'll get so fixated on a market or a niche that you make a poor decision to spend time and money getting into it, when if you'd just done some quick preliminary research using a tool like MNF, you could have saved yourself a lot of time and frustration.

Now, there is so much more you can and should do with MNF beyond this, but this is what I almost always do first when considering a new niche. This very process has led me to getting into some niches that have made me some good money.

Hope that helps!

More great tips, John! I just had to take a look to compare my process with yours, and I do the same things you mentioned in the video.

MNF saves me vast amounts of time and I highly recommend it (along with your methods) to anyone who does a lot of keyword research. I've been using it since 2007 and it's one of my favorite tools.

    Keep the great content coming!

John, you are so becoming the WF Vid King More great stuff.

I really like MNF - as you say, it's so useful for digging up those golden keywords.

BTW, if anyone's considering buying it, there's a new version out next week with a higher price tag. But if you get it before the price rise, you'll have free future updates.

Before I even watch the video, let me ask you this...when I use MNF, I have to log in to my Google Webmaster account or I get errors. If I'm logged in it works fine, but otherwise it doesn't. Does that happen to you too, John?

Dennis, while you're waiting for John to get back to you, I'll chip in. It works fine for me without being logged in to GW. Have you got your Background Download Service control switched to "on"?

Frank, it always reads on, always has, but I see there's an option in the program folder to start it so I clicked that and it's working now. Maybe the indicator inside the program was giving me a false reading? Hopefully this will solve the problem for me.

        Thanks, Frank.

        John, another quality video sir!

Same for me as what Frank said. I don't have to be logged in. You should ask James Jones about it: jjonessupport @ gmail DOT com

I'd submitted report tickets before. They're good at responding to the first ticket, but my follow up got lost in their system. Good people over there though, and it's a great program, so if anyone is thinking about getting MNF I'd recommend it. I just never pushed the issue because it wasn't difficult to log in first.

In case you missed it in my reply to Frank, another good video by you!

Thanks, Dennis. I really only have two minor problems with MNF, but really any software will have its issues. First, it's kind of temperamental. If you use it a lot, it occasionally will throw up an error (not a Google thing, but a program error) and need to be restarted. Like I said, nothing major - it always works again right away. Just can be mildly annoying if you were in the middle of something. Second, I really wish it would return a lot more longer tail keywords. If that's what I'm hunting for, I often will start at MNF, then move over to the Google keyword tool to dig out the really long tail gold (5-7 word phrases).

My biggest issue by far with MNF is basically a completely lack on long tailed keywords. Don't get me wrong, it's worth the price, but unless you get another tool (Like MS) you still have to find long tails the old fashioned way. Of course, the more tedious a task is, the less people do it and the less competition I have....

Sean, excellent points. It is a beef with MNF. But like I show in the video, I'll often use MNF for what the name of it implies - finding small niches. Then using GAKT or MS for the actual keywords in those niches I find with MNF is the next step. Sometimes MNF will show some long tails, but I often like the REALLY long tails.

Thank you for making this video, it's absolutely great. I wasn't even previously aware of this tool but it sounds like exactly what I need to find my niche. Currently, I work within a few small niches but if I can find a way to define even one of those a little more, I think I'll be in a much better place.

JaiJay, MNF is great for anyone trying to find lots of niches. If you just have one or two big niches that you cover, it's not as useful I don't think. But for those of us who are always looking for new niches, it's awesome. I can't recommend it enough.

You're welcome! It really pays off in the long run to automate as much as you can in your business. MNF is a great tool for that purpose. Saves me a ton of time every week.

Hi John, I am building niche sites with Adsense generating the money. How can I usae MNF to assist? At the moment I look for searcg counts of 500 and above together with a exact match of less than 10000, maybe 20000...where I encounter trouble is with the MOB and SOC, can you give me some advice...how do i make a choice between a niche with a low exact count, moderate monthly searches, a high SOC and a MOB of 0

        Regards
        Jannes
