Best way to index a site?

just wondering what the best way to index a site is.

In my view pinging and bookmarking should be enough?

Create a post on hubpages or blogger etc and link to your website. This is a method I use for new domains and works fine.

Hey Dan,

dont think it´s enough.

What i start with is

1. SEO
2. RSS
3. Bookmarks

But for directly indexing (1-2 hours) just us rss. Fast and easy.

Social Bookmarks work for me! As soon as I build a new site or blog it goes to the social bookmarks, not just the homepage but any other pages too, and this works very well for me when indexing!

  First submit your site at google.com/addurl/
  
  Then you can go for forum marketing and article marketing. This will index your site within 2-3 days or less.

  I'm pretty new to IM, but I set up a site and had it ranked on the first page of Google in less than a month. I wrote some articles and then joined a service that submitted the articles. I actually only had to write one article and then re-write it 2 times. The Mentor I had at the time was impressed that I got ranked so quickly for 3 competitive keywords.

  If you have an Adsense account use it.
  Putting Adsense on the index page gets indexed within 48 hours!
  I have always found my sites are indexed with Adsense on them much faster than Bookmarking or Article submissions.....
  
  If you do not have an Adsense account, download the stumble tool bar and install it in Firefox.
  Once installed, go to your site and click the thumbs up 'I like it!' Write a short paragraph with the site linked by your anchor text. This will soon get you indexed!

Don't worry about it at all. There is no point in all that. If you use wordpress use a plug in that manages your pings for you. If you don't it doesn't matter either. All that matters if you want your site indexed is to find a few sources with very high pagerank that you can link from.

For example popular forums get crawled and indexed in a matter of minutes to hours. All the additional pinging is a waste of time.

you can easily get a website indexed by get your site index by submitting it through this tool : (not min and i don't know the owner)

and bookmark your URL in this site : (same thing as the previous one)

edutagger.com

i always get all of my sites indexed with this two links .

For getting a sudden index form your site it is not possible for that do article submission and directory submission and good and well back links form reputed page rank sites and it will help a lot.....

Add your site to your signature here and reply to some current threads within the forum. Then bookmark at Propeller and Stumbleupon. Within a few hours your site should be indexed. Google should then crawl your site and start caching the rest of your pages shortly after.

You can then always remove the sig link once your site has been picked up.

I am having the same issues. My site has not been cached for 5 weeks so over the last 2 days I have submitted an article to articledashboard, submitted the site to digg, reddit and stumbleupon.

I have also added my link here after seeing a suggestion to do so. Hopefully this will do the trick

That will not help getting crawled though, which I think was the point of the question. I suppose if you did REALLY screw up your on-site SEO you could get crawled but not indexed, but your content would REALLY have to suck!

Got crawled and indexed in 28 hours a couple of weeks ago for a site. Just add Adsense, add a sitemap, and/or get your links out there somewhere Google often visits. I am sure it can be done quicker, but I wouldn't push it, you can't MAKE Google do anything.

If you want to just get it indexed. Use the IMTalk submitter, it sucks for backlinks but works pretty good to index your site.

Try converting one of your articles in to a short video - like a powerpoint style presentation with a voice over for example. Just talk through it yourself.

Upload your video to YouTube with a link to your site in the description.
