Surefire Strategy to Establish Your Campaign

Hello Warriors,

Sometimes, we fail to realize that this is a business and a business must be maintained and controlled through the eyes of the beholder (you ). You are the foundation of your online business no matter what anyone says or thinks. You are the one who controls the vision of how things are really going down and how big of a splash you really want to make in the online world.

Now, with this being said, in order to be successful you must establish yourself. Lets use the company Apple for example: Why is Apple so successful? What makes their products so great? Why do they get to literally plow in the cash with such ease?

Its actually quite simple, and you can easily incorporate the same thoughts and greatness Apple harnesses into any of your campaigns and products.

Ok, lets think how Apple does for a minute and apply it to our campaign:

Apple is great because they have a killer team of some of the greatest minds in the world, but more importantly, they have one of the strongest vision a company has ever had and ever will. You must have that vision for your business. This is where you have to step in within your market and be top dog, like Apple has in the electronics/music player industry by making sure your products and website are the best quality. But most importantely, you must be unique and make yourself stand out in some way or you will just be another online marketer.

But it goes a bit deeper than that.... Apple is able to do so because they are dedicated in every aspect of their vision. Think about it. Apple has topline marketing schemes, some of if not the best software and hardware out there, and undoubtedly some of the most fascinating products ever known to man. Not to mention some of the smartest people in the tech industry. I can go on for quite a while, but you get the point.

Sure, Apple might not get the most votes for the laptops they put out or even the software they develop, but the Ipod stands alone in its own world. Nothing (atleast popularity and word of mouth) compares because they have established that from the beginning in the music player industry. They simply saw an opportunity and took heavy advantage of it.

Apple has been around for quite a while, and the Ipod was far from their first product or software. Establishment in your market is of huge importance and you can do the same thing Apple has done with your campaign with a bit of tweaking and hard effort.

Remember, you don't have to reinvent the wheel at all, even though this is something Apple does very well. You simply have to spot potential, apply aspects that are important and targeted within your market, and think of a unique way to establish yourself and stand out. Then you can innovate. Make what you offer unique and different, much like how Apple does.

Now keep in mind: In order for any of this to be even remotely effective, you have to want to be a powerhouse within your market. It might take some time, but be creative and unique and you will go far. Think of ways to position your product to where it will be so different that people have to come to ONLY your website to get it. Talk about establishment. Think about that. You must have a VISION of your online business and where you want it to be. Just think like a CEO with a great vision and you will go far.

Let me know what you guys think

Hello BD, good to see a fellow Coloradan here.

I agree with your basic theory, all companies should have a clear vision, and then follow it. However, to play devil's advocate, sometimes companies follow their vision all the way to bankruptcy. How do you know which vision is right, when it should be changed, and if you should follow many visions in order to withstand the duds? There are probably a thousand failures for every successful internet venture or company, maybe millions compared to successes like Apple.

I'd still go work for a company I believed in, in a second, but there's no jobs like that around.

    TJ,
You are absolutely right when it comes to the availability of a high profile job such as working for Apple. The angle I was attempting to come from was more of the strategy of that of a CEO and how important it is to have that initial strong vision when starting out, or making a name for yourself.

I couldnt agree more when you said "how do you know which vision is right?" and my best guess to this is that it is up to the person controlling their own fate and what they see and would like to see in their online business/company (based off the particular persons work ethic)

Sure, when you see potential or have that vision, it is great to act upon it and take advantage. But, there will always be obstacles along the way no matter what, and if tweaking of the initial vision must occur then so be it, thats where the true colors of a company show. But it is very important to go in with that strong, confident vision right off the bat because it will be a heck of a lot easier.

Thank you for the great feed back, it is much appreciated

I noticed you reside in Boulder, what part are you from?

      Hey mate,

I like the idea of starting with vision....very very true. I would quote a bible verse but the wisdom is self evident.

However, I don't agree with the example of the Ipod ...it's a product that is essentially dead in the water because 1) too easily replicated at a lower price 2) its function has been assimilated into mobile phones.

As a matter of fact, Apple's issue has always been to blaze an expensive (& usually proprietary) new trail for competitors who follow a much more successful and lower cost "fast follower" model....as a result the iPhone's days are truly numbered and they single handedly "raised the tide" for all of their competitors' boats......of course I could be wrong.
