Using Adwords for Market Surveys?

Hi,

Let´s say you want to know what potential customers using a popular generic keyword are looking for like:

*Price range
*Quality

Or things like:

*Their knowledge of the market (competitors, substitute products and so on)
*General product knowledge

Can you then use Adwords to advertise the survey?

If so, are you allowed to promote incentives in the ad in order to get people to take part in the survey like for instance "Answer this survey about product XYZ and you can win one."

Anyone done this?

I don't see a problem with it, and I think it would be a good way to get information. One caution, when you add an incentive to complete a survey, I believe you skew your results. You can do it, just realize, you need to take your results with a grain of salt.

Also, if you plan to run a contest of any sort, be aware that you'll need to follow a few rules, depending on where you are, and where your contest is running. Usually it's not a big deal, you just need to add things like skill testing questions.

When life gives you lemons, at least you don't get scurvy.
