Proof of Google inclusion literally overnight...

For all the nay-sayers that claim it takes weeks, or even months, to get listed on Google, here's the proof that it can happen overnight.

I set up a MySpace page yesterday, and when I checked the keyword 'ecigstoday' (my user name) today on Google, it was listed in the number 1 position. Granted, it's not the keywords I'm aiming for, but it does show that it can happen overnight, even without submitting manually.

It can definitely happen overnight. In fact, I've seen it happen in a few hours. And here's a method I'll share that'll take 48 hours max, if nothing else works for you:

Build a wordpress blog, write an article for it, post a link back to your new website, and then ping it using pingomatic.com and also bookmark it with 25 social bookmarking websites.

I can almost guarantee that it'll take 48 hours max. You can replace wordpress with any website that gets crawled multiple times per day. You did it with MySpace, there's hundreds of them. There's tons of them and by having a link on them you can get indexed.

Between 1 and 48 hours is normal.

Too many people come here and ask what is the fastest way.

There are sites that google loves. This forum is one of them.
Myspace, twitter, etc. are others. Heck, my domains are some.

If your site does not index quickly, then there is something
      major wrong with the site.

There are no magical incantations and fancy footwork needed.

But so many people here claim you have to do stuff like
like write your domain on a piece of paper, put it under your
      pillow, make three wishes, etc.

There is no need to go through a bunch of useless time
consuming hoops to get your site listed. It's easy.

For every thread opposed to this, someone comes up with yet
another voodoo that you must do to get indexed.

I dont't know of any naysayer that says it takes month. I routinely have profiles that I set up that are indexed within a few hours some even less. Bare in mind though that that inclusion is of a page for a site that already has been crawled and indexed. So its apples and oranges to what most people discuss here in regard to inclusion for a page on a new domain.

That is true. I hadn't thought of that.
