I agree w/ your statement. You have to remember that there are a LOT of SEO companies out there that are still promising the moon.

A bit of advice to everyone (in my opinion only) - if a SEO company PROMISES to rank your site on the first page - they will do so by using a long tail KW w/ about no traffic going to a niche or by some blackhat scheme that won't last on top forever.

    Buyer Beware!

This has absolutely nothing to do with SEO in any way, but rather is a paid traffic scheme similar to PPV.

From my point of view this could be perfectly legit. I'm not saying it is though.

This is basically nothing different than any other PPV traffic, but instead of your homepage being advertised through a pop up or a pop under, they simply put an iframe on top of all the search engine sites. Please keep in mind though that only people having their or their partner's toolbar installed can actually see your site and I couldn't find any numbers of traffic volume they can provide on their hp. So I'm not really sure if it's worth it.

Edit: Hrrm, don't the users of the adware/toolbar program normally have to accept privacy policy/TOS clearly stating that they'll be seeing ads anywhere in the download/installation process? Well, I just checked their toolbar and there wasn't any information about ads being shown. So I highly doubt this is 100% legit.
