Can I double the adwords traffic by creating a new website?

I have a website(site1.com) who is doing well on adwords.
(It has a steady rate conversion rate.)

I'm thinking about creating a brand new website(site2.com)
Site2.com will sell the same product - however, the whole sell-page will be rewritten.

Would it be possible to double the traffic(thus increasing the overall sales) by advertising site2.com on adwords? I guess I'll have to create a new adgroup, and new text-ads.

Do you think this is possible? Will it work?

I would appreciate any comments & suggestions

    Well let's say there are 4 competitors in your niche. If each gets 25% of the sales and you add #5 and get 20% + 20%. Of course there are many more factors, but you will bleed some traffic from Site #1. However, this is why some companies create multiple brands. Target a somewhat different market for the same product with the second site and you will be even further ahead.

    ? you may look at your second site running under a different set of keywords to avoid duplicate keywords in the one account.

    If you were trying to use the same keys i am sure there is a ruling about using the same keys and that also may apply to separate accounts under your name, but you would need to clarify that further.
