Question about keywords and search percentage

I do my keyword research using the google adwords keyword tool, but I want to know how to figure out what percentage of traffic I will receive by being ranked in a certain position (rough estimate).

For instance if a certain term gets 30,000 searches per month, what percentage of that traffic will I get by being ranked #1, #2, #5, etc.

If anyone has a rough estimate for these statistics or can point me in the direction of an article or resource containing this information it would be greatly appreciated.

    According to the site below:

    #1 Ranking Position 1
    #2
    3.5 times less than #1
    #3
    4.9 times less than #1
    #4
    6.9 times less than #1
    #5
    8.5 times less than #1
    #6
    10.4 times less than #1
    #7
    12.3 times less than #1
    #8
    14 times less than #1
    #9
14.8 times less than #1 (the worst place to rank on page 1)
    #10
    14.1 times less than #1

How much traffic will I get if I rank #1 in Google? | Just Search | Search Engine Optimisation & Internet Marketing Journal

I've read an article a long time concerning this. That's all I hear about from SEO guys - hey - I gotta get on the first page.

Remember - your competing against 9 other sites. It's all about site promotion, traffic and conversions - not just getting on the first page.

Also remember to ALWAYS use Exact Match when using the Google keyword tool. You will be in for a sad surprise if you don't.
