Are most (if not all) Article directories DoFollow links?

Hey All,
I'm looking at tweaking my SEO linkwheel strategy to something like the following:
Web 2.0 Websites (hubpages, squidoo, blogger, etc.) ->My Article Pages -> My "Money" Site
I've heard other say its better to have the article pages promote your Web 2.0 websites (such as the ones mentioned) and then have those sites promote your backlink to the money site...
I'm just thinking that my focusing the Web 2.0 sites on the article pages, I can be a bit more heavy handed promoting the article pages, and benefit from the added rankings of the article pages...
Since sites liek GoArticles and EzineArticles tend to rank well in Google anyways, seems like a double whammy to promote them over Hubpages etc.
