Question about Google page rank

How do I increase the page rank of my internal pages such as my links page or does it matter?

How can a website be on the first page of Google for a particular keyword but have a page rank of zero and not have a very good Alexa rank? I've seen some like this and it puzzles me. Maybe this is a stupid question but I would like to be enlightened.

To increase the PR of other pages in your blog all you have to do is interlink your high PR page to those no PR pages so that other pages can also get some PR juice to those high PR pages on your site. Use internal linking technique. I hope you get what i meant.

Im not sure how many times a day this is mentioned but PR has very little affect on SERP's you could have a PR N/A site sitting above a PR5 if done correctly and it was 100% relevant to what's being searched.

Another thing is you can have a PR10 and have an Alexa rank of 900 million, again has nothing to do with each other what so ever , PR doesnt equal traffic and Alexa ! well................its not an accurate way of measuring traffic anyway.

Back to the original question though, Pr on internal pages. As mentioned above yes a site with good internal linking will help the cause of PR flow through your site, another thing you may have missed while reading your idiots guide to SEO ( im assuming you've read this ) is that building all your links to one page ( homepage ) is not the way to go. If you build links to your internal pages too with in time you will be rewarded with that little green bar on internal pages.

Links pages are funny things really, most of the time they are disregarded by googles green bar monster as crap pages and therefore not given PR at all. so if your page just looks like a directory of links its more than likely they will give that page a miss. I have a couple of PR6 websites , both with PR5 inner pages but does it get PR on the links/resource page ? does it hell , even though the resource page isnt actually a normal links page at all , its infact a proper resource page for sites of interest to my visitors.

But enough about me , i always ramble alot after a couple of beers and im now off to bed

    Happy link building

Thanks for the advice, Riverwire and preatorian. I have done internal linking but maybe not enough. I also have been building links to other pages besides my home page but only a few of them and not all of them.

I have another question about links/resource pages: Does it hurt to have them separated into different pages? I have one page that is my resource page but it has links for the different categories, and I have different pages for each category and also have each category listed in my navigation menu. In other words, a visitor can click on "Resources" for a list of the different categories or he/she can look at my navigation menu and click on the different categories there for the different link partners' sites.

Is that hurting me or my link partners? Excuse me if this is a stupid question, but I don't understand how Google does things and I'm still learning.

My intention is to place good content on each one of the pages that have the link partners' links but I don't know when that will happen. Is that a good or bad idea or does it really matter?
