Help me with crawl errors.

Hi everyone. Lately, I have been paying much more attention to my webmaster tools and noticed that I have nearly 100 crawl errors for URL's and links that aren't anywhere on my website.

The majority of the broken links and crawl errors are from a wordpress plugin...which I removed...but still the crawl errors and broken links remain.

Anyone ever experienced this problem before and maybe know how I can fix this.

try redirecting your broken links and recreate your sitemap...

A custom 404 error would do the trick. Just google it.

The errors are no problem, but some people want the errors
to just go away. Hard to get them all to go away.

Even if you correct the specific errors that GWT is reporting it takes a while for them to drop out of the reports.

The thing to do is to correct them and then watch the dates against the errors reported. If you get repetitions of the same error dated after you made the correction then you still have a problem. If not you're OK and you just need to wait for them to drop out of the reports.

    Cheers,

    Martin.
