While browsing the war room, I came across a post by Bruce_Richards where he was giving away a list of links of web 2.0 resources, this was my reply:

"Thanks alot Bruce!

Unfortunately being the newbie I am, I don't know what a link-pyramid or a link-wheel is.

What exactly are link pyramids and link wheels and what can they do to help us?"

Just curious if anybody here had any answers.

    I just did a post on link pyramids the other day for my blog - CHECK IT OUT

    Link wheels are where you have lets say 5 Web 2.0 properties that all have one link to your money page and 1 link to one of the other Web 2.0 properties. This in theory builds link juice to the Web 2.0 articles which gives even more link juice to your money page. Do a search in the War Room and there are some good free WSOs on link wheels.

    I use open link wheels every day and it not only boosts my rankings but gives me extra traffic too

    What exactly are link pyramids and link wheels and what can they do to help us?

    Link wheels consist of different web 2.0 sites where we submit our articles or website url . They way back links are made and your site got ranked in Google.

    Also your website will receive highly targeted traffic which can convert well.

    Forgive me if i am wrong,and someone please let me know if i am..
    I thought it was against the rules to post on main forum about content in war room?

    There are ways to make posts/questions without revealing threads in war room.

      I have and am still currently testing many different variations of LinkWheels... I have seen some spikes in traffic and some extra link juice but the jury is still out how effective LinkWheels are compared to traditional backLinking methods...

      I am sure I will have to wait a few more weeks (or months) before I see any real traction from the different Linkwheels I built and had built for me...

      I'm confused what exactly was "revealed" ? Someone saying Thanks? Unless the OP edited his post I'm not sure I understand your concern...

        Linkwheels are old as dirt...they do work but Google is on a war path to devalue the links used in the wheel if they think your spamming in their search engine..best to leave the wheel open in maybe a horse shoe type method or even better just create a mini-net site. Mini-nets are harder and take longer but leave the smallest footprint for the google spiders to pick up on.-

    Not sure about the pyramid, but I suspect it is just another shape. A link wheel is a series of blogs of other sites(often the free kind) that you set up intending to drain the link juice from them back to your money blog. You set up each blog with two links. One points at your money blog and one points at the next blog in the wheel. When googlebot follows the links, there are only two places to go, one is your money blog and the other is the next blog in the wheel where the option to go to your money blog is once again offered. There is a lot of info available on the net about wheels.
