why is Google images traffic so poor?

Hi

I had great, targetted images made up and advertised through google networks for image traffic.

Results: about 2,000 "clicks" and 6 sign ups to a free system...If I had have paid for one of those junk traffic programs I would expect the same results.

Anyone actually get decent leads from this? I just do not see it.

    It's mostly that they were not looking for what you offered them. In a sense it's the same type of traffic you get from junk traffic programs because those people are as interested to see your offer as those who wanted to see a photo.

    not adsense and the banners are highyl targetted.....so.....any other reasons?

    I mean if you put out a banner targetted to people lsojng weight and offered a fre book on that site....surely you would expect a much better lead caption than 0.001%? and I have tested it for much better converions else ehere...Conclusion Google image network traffic is useless...I'd even consider it fake it's that bad.

    I wouldn't necessarily blame Adwords. Take a good look at your landing page. Sounds like you have a squeeze page. Why would they sign up just because it's free? You still have to give them some details and a good reason to sign up.

    Let's take your example of weight loss. I see your ad and click on it just to find out what you say. I'm presented with a squeeze page for my email in return for a free ebook. Nothing new here because I've done this a dozen times and they all say the same thing. I decide that even though it's free, I pass since I see nothing here to grab my attention and I've seen this movie before. That is likely what's happening on your site.
