Backlinks??how many?

Hi my site is about 7 weeks old.
If i go to any backlink checker site I have about 500 backlinks.
But when I go to google and type in link:http://www.xxxxx.com it only comes back with about 10 results? Yes if i type in my address into google i have about 143 results?? Any one any ideas what is going on?
