Out of curiosity, what kind of online conversion rates (visitor to lead or visitor to sale) do you see on your websites/landing pages.

I'm learning a lot from the tips here but it seems that unless your converting eyeballs to customers, you can waste a lot of time and money.

Thoughts?

Conversion rates are tied to so many variables it won't be helpful to know them anyway.

That being said, here is a site that has some statistical aggregated data

    Fireclick Index

  • What other people can do makes ZERO difference. There is no correlation between someone elses niche and landing page and your own.

These types of questions are useless as they are not qualified.

If you want to know conversion rates you have to know details... and no successful marketer is going to tell you their niches and rates.

Maybe I should reword my question as to what are some general best practices people have found helpful to increase their conversion rates. I'm not saying there's one-size-fits-all solution but just wondering if there were some places that B2B or B2C marketers should start at and then customize according to their audience, etc.
