just been toying with keywords and just for kicks fired up GAKT to figure out if there's any competition in the SEO niche;-)

guess what, these guys optimize the sh***iest tiny keywords, even traffic of 30 exact hits a month is enough for them to push it up to PR4 on average on page one of Google (seems to be some kind of bragging right, "hey, I'm an SEO guy and I can have a PR4 for non-existent traffic....")

anyway, started digging around the backlinks they're using and there's awesome stuff in there -- they're using their own best stuff for the high volume "SEO" related keywords.

      You can't know SEO competition in GAKT. It will only show you PPC competition.

        sure, I'm using GAKT to search for high-volume search terms that are related to "SEO" (like "SEO webtraffic", "SEO this or that").
        then I check out the sites and often enough they are commercial SEO outfits.

          A lot of the commercial companies just get a backlink or so fom their client sites and hey presto, youve got some high PR, although what you mentioned doesn't surprise me...lol
