Is there a code you can put in the meta tag that keeps search engines from finding your clickbank thank you page?

      AFAIR I read somewhere that using robots.txt show which pages you are trying to hide? I can't see the warriorforum robots.txt, so I guess there are ways to hide it? Here's one I just looked at:
      User-Agent: *Disallow: /report_abuseDisallow: /user_detailsDisallow: /userDisallow: /photo_albumDisallow: /forum_abuseDisallow: /cgi-bin/Disallow: /tmp/Disallow: /send_profile_to_friendDisallow: /_check_authenDisallow: /_check_spellDisallow: /_process_user_info_by_jqueryDisallow: /highlight_status_Disallow: /add_video_to_favorite_Disallow: /_forum_by_jqueryDisallow: /_friend_by_jqueryDisallow: /jangl/_jangl_by_jquery_So, I know where to look?Phil

    Or add this line to the code: <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW"> Add this to each page that you don't want indexed.

      What if it's a pdf file you want to protect from indexing? Do you put the robots.txt file in the root and the pdf in a subfolder of the root? Or can you put the pdf file in the root as well?

    @buyitbelow,

    You really should be protecting your "Thank You" pages rather then just trying to keep the search engines from finding them. You don;t want humans sharing your links.

    Google, Yahoo and Bing have webmaster tools that let you verify your identity, then request that they delete your site from their index. Verification consists of a small block of text you add as a meta tag or as a text file on the site. I've successfully used this process to remove a site. It might still be in archive.org though.
