Traffic influence Page rank and SERP of a site?

Hi guys I was just wondering if anyone know whether the amount of traffic a site gets must influence the SERP and PR of that site? Anyone know?

    It is possible. If you have a large amount of visitors some will have websites and link back to you or refer to you from other websites. Thats natural link building. But directly? No. Paul is right.

    No I don't think the traffic has anything to do with PR or SERP rankings.....I believe that the PR and SERP rankings are calculated from banklinks amoungest a few other unknown factors.....

    Traffic only means money prospects to your site. It has nothing to do with Pagerank. However, those traffic represents people who visits your site, so, there is a chance that they might make some articles which links to your site. That's what we call backlinks and backlinks is the basis of your pagerank.

    Traffic is certainly a factor that will be considered for PR. But significance of this factor is minimum. So don't worry about this factor.
