Click fraud, thanks for the $5

Several weeks ago I noticed one of my sites that rarely gets even 1 click/day received 15 clicks out of 11 impressions in less than 4 hours totaling around $5. Weird, right? (now if I could get that every day for this site legitimately I would be happy, it's not my best work and I'm sort of ignoring it)

Someone was either checking out every single ad, or trying to get me in trouble with the big G. I reported it, never received a reply from G, and they just recently cut me a check which included that money. Maybe it was way too small for them to care?

So... it backfired for them, unless they were just some crazy visitor looking for the best products, but thanks for the extra $5 anyway.

Anyone else experience anything like that?

It happens sometimes. Probably wasn't anyone trying to get you in trouble. Most likely just a searcher who didn't know any better clicking on several ads to check them all out.

I have that happen off and on with many of my websites. My guess is that it is just Google doing some correction for clicks that they did not pay you enough for.

Thanks for the input, it could be either of those. Just assumed it was someone trying to mess with me since I had just done some link building for that site. I assumed it was some idiot forum owner that saw my link and tried to get me banned. I could name a few around here...

siliwangitravel, then they are invalid links.

tjocker, you got lucky but probably as Trent said, a visitor clicked all the ads to check them out, or something else, maybe you were so lucky and you received 1 click from each visitor.

Sometimes i got 6 clicks from my blog and earning is 0 $ at that time.Those are all fraud clicks may be.
