No Backlinks From Blog Comments

Ok... So I have made over 200 blog comments on 50 sites that are do-follow. I have also checked other people that have commented on these blogs and checked backlinkwatch to see if they got credit for the comment, and they where. All of my comments are on auto approve blog sites. I have not received any backlinks from these comments. It's been 5 days, and nothing!

Can anyone tell me why?

Sometimes it takes a looong time for the backlinks to show up in backlink watcher or similar tools. If they're good comments you should be fine. Keeping commenting!

when pinging a blog that I comment on, do I need to ping the actual page that I commented on? Or can I just ping the main URL?

I always keep a tally of the page I commented on and that pages individual page rank. I ping 10-20 a day and it works fine. It is not instant and could take weeks on pagers with a lower PR.

Also not there have been many time I submitted links to blogs even providing a long detailed and relevant comment that adds to the blog... over 24 hours my comments where all removed and it sucks but happens often.

This is why you should keep your own list of pages your backlink are on. If after 48 hours your link is not there go and ping the site again. Also try pinging using a few ping sites.

Backlink watch is good but just because a link doesn't say "nofollow" in their results I often find thats not the case with the actual backlink. Always check a links code in the page source.

backlinks are a waiting game man and a long term thing so get used to it taking forever lol.

It takes some time for the search engines to show the links. Not seeing the links does not mean that search engines do not see and count them. They do, it just takes longer for them to show up. So don`t worry, you`ll get credited

Blog commenting is the powerful link boost method in SEO but we need to get permanent links from the dofollow blogs, for this we need to comment related to the
blogposts and also we need to wait for a while to get good results..

I'm not even at the point of seeing the backlinks on the backlink checkers...except for a few social bookmarking links.

I'm having trouble just getting my links to stick to my comments. I only commented on a few relevant blogs (do follow) and I keep up with them. My comments get approved, but my link doesn't show up as my name...even when I use my own name and not some keyword rich name. Others who comment have their links there, some of them even look 'spammy'. My links don't even take them to my sales pages... just the home page (where I use page breaks on each of my posts before affiliate offers are displayed).

    What gives?

As others have stated 5 days is not enough time. Could take months and then maybe more time before the links have any effect. Link building is an ongoing battle. That's why I let users build my links by having superior content. I don't want to be a slave to link building.

Give the blog time to get it indexed and for your comment to be approved. In my own experience, it takes a few weeks (maybe even a month) for it to be counted as a backlink.

No, I think it takes longer than that. I gave my comments and no backlinks for me even 2 months. It's so sad!

Search engines donot crawl all pages of nay site they crawl only 2-3 . That is the reason you could not get credit of that . My suggestion is wait some more time
