Backlink question

Qsoft - Quality in Software | Cutting the cancer called View State

has a PR3 but has a few hundred outward links, most of them are what appears to be spam comments. Is it best to avoid backlinking from such a place?

    Yep, what you've got to take into account is that the page rank of that page is going to be split up between each of the outgoing links.

    In this instance, despite that being a PR3 page, you're not going to get much love from it. You'd be better off finding a PR1-2 page that doesn't have any outgoing links.

    The amount of outgoing links is something that you should always take into account.

      Well said Pat!

      Most of the high PR blogs are already spammed to death. Better to target PR1-2 page with a domain PR of 5 or so.

      Look for blogs with OBL count less than 50 and put your comments there.

    If that page has so many outbound links so no need to put your ink there as it will help you in rankings try to get links from sites which has less outbound links.
