AdSense vs In-Text Ads

My websites provide information and are not on products. On some pages, it is impossible to get G to run relevant adSense ads and non-relevant ads are useless. So, I am considering In-Text ads on those pages.

Do you think this a good idea?
How does adSense income and CTR compare to In-Text income and CTR?
What are the best In-Text ad programs?

Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Honestly I've always avoided in-text ads programs because primarily I think (and have heard from multiple people) that they are quite annoying. And frankly the last thing I want to do is annoy my browsers. I tried one program one time and found the CTR to be extremely low compared to me 2%-5% average from AdSense. Give it a try, but just make sure you don't drive your browsers nuts over them!

      I've tried them but the revenue was always rediculously low. I think you need a lot of traffic volume to make it work.
