something strange with Micro Niche Finder

Hi all,

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Lately, whenever I do a search with MNF, I've noticed that the SOC reading most of the times seems to be zero (ie a green light), but a google search reveals a few PR 3-5 in the top ten, which leads me to believe that something is wrong. Along those lines, when I do an exact search, most come up as zero as well.

Anyone else noticed this?

You cannot trust MNF's SOC reading. You should always check out the page 1 competition for yourself without letting any sort of software decide for you.

I have had many instances where MNF gave me a really high SOC for a keyword but when I checked out the competition for page 1, there were a bunch of PR0 sites and not many authority sites. I've also experienced MNF giving me a soc of 5 and then when I checked the page 1 competion in Google I saw there were all sites that were PR4-5.

Thanks for that. Do you (or anyone else reading this) have a system for determining your chances of ranking high based on the PR scores of the first ten pages on Google? For example, if the first five have a PR of 3 or above, don't bother...etc.
As for me, if I see someone like Amazon or Nextag in the top 5, I figure that I could go for it, but if anyone else has any hints or advice, it would be REALLY appreciated !!!

      Thanks in advance!

      Doug
