Second best directory for article submissions and backlinks?

OK, which article directory would you say comes in 2nd. to Ezine for getting backlinks to your site. Some directories have a high PR, but are no follow, so there is not much there for link juice.

What is your second best?

I would have said GoArticles for a while but they seem to have tanked as far as my Google results with them go.

Article Dashboard are working well for me.

Doesn't matter. It's you ability to write articles that people want that matters. 2nd best? For whom? For What?

  I agree. there are some sites that are better, but we can not simply say which one is the 1st, which is 2nd. .. it really depends on your niche and the purpose of your article.

  Sorry about that...I guess I should have been more specific. What I am referring to is the best directory for seo purposes. That is, which one seems to give up the most link juice that helps you with your rankings.
  
  I know that Ezine carries a pretty high PR, as do others. However, some of these article sites that have good PR, like articlebase, are no follow in their resource box. This makes the seo benefits from the site rather low. I have been seeing Go Articles come up a lot in several forums, so I think we can call it a serious contender for no. 2.

ezine, articlesbase, goarticles...but there are more which shouldnt simply be ignored.

Article base and go articles would come in joint 2nd for me. However why limit yourself to just 2 or 3. Submit you 1st article to ezines, then spin and submit to as many article directories as you can. More exposure equals more traffic, Just make sure you get a good spinner so the quality of your articles doesn't degrade too much.

I think Buzzle is another great directory after Ezinearticles. Bestsyndication also worked for me in past but now they are not accepting new submissions.

Ezinearticles for backlink - a bit of waste... but still works well!

I would say goarticles.com is the best place for link - almost no monitoring, you can post anything you want!
