A Question About Backlinks

I've been using a couple of the backlinks packets offered by some of the Warriors, and they're working well, but I'd like to know something...

Say I'm trying to get backlinks to my site. If I create an account at one of the places where I can leave backlinks, and I do the standard thing of leaving 2 links in my signature or profile, is it okay to have both those links going to pages on the same site.

For example, a link to both:

mysite.com
mysite.com/about.html

Each page would have different anchor text. Are both those links counted, or does it only count one link per domain?

Alex, as long as the URLs are different then they will count.

If you had two different sets of anchor text, both with the same underlying URL, then Google would look at the first on the page, and ignore subsequent ones.

I think that the PR/Link Juice/Authority will be divided among the pages your linking to. So to get the most link juice to a single page, you'd just want to have one link.
