Goarticles is good if you are looking to generate backlinks to your website by submitting articles. They have PR6 and this makes them a highly authority website. However nothing is more beneficial then Ezinearticles.

I think that a variety of backlinks (not from the same place and id) is better in the eyes of google.

Goarticles is a good do follow article directory. Posting any unique article which is informative also could be beneficial over there. But this is also true that you should not depend only on a particular article directory. There are so many other directories like ezine, s-article, articlebase etc.

When you say that goarticles is good do mean that you can actually see the backlinks from goarticles to your site?

I love GoArticles. I can submit them and G will have them indexed in less than 24 hours. Also - no waiting for a staff to approve them and I can put as many anchor text in them as I want. Great way to go.

How did you manage to do that?
I submitted a few articles a couple of months ago and neither was indexed for a long time (about 3 weeks). Now that it's indexed it doesn't show up as a backlink so it basically doesn't worth anything (its ranking is also no where to be seen in the first 20 pages of google).

I distribute articles to about 10 directories, of which GoArticles is one. They are good links for me.

Goarticles is great, but buzzle and articledashboard have been giving me great results lately.

I run a seo firm. I can tell you out of everything I've learned, the most powerful seo method is article submission. This has ranked most of my website on the first page of google, and brought tons of targeted traffic. You can do the submission free by going to any site, but its best to get software that will automate submission for you to 200+ sites, saving you time and money.

That's pretty interesting. Can you mention what automate software submission are you using?
Also, how hard is it to get your articles accepted to buzzle and articledashboard?
              Thanks for you help

Really ? There is no limit to the amount of anchor text. Interesting. Google has to have some thresholds for spam aka 100 outbound links from an article right ?

Will definetly look into goarticles more

I like GoArticles but notice it takes a bit longer to get indexed compared to a few years ago. Maybe that's true with all of them.

I always submit my articles to ONE site (mixing between GoArticles and Ezine mostly).

Are you allowed to submit your article to Social Bookmarking sites like Digg etc... or do they mainly want only content from your own website?

Go Articles sent me a newsletter yesterday outlining new rules about URLs. Here they are.

      New Article Link/URL Guidelines
      • Duplicate links to the same URL in the article body are not allowed.
      • Links in the article body should relate to, or support, your article content.
      • Links that are only used for keyword anchoring to your own site(s) are not allowed.
      • Promotional links for your site, service or product should be restricted to your Author Bio paragraph.
If your articles are not in compliance with the above guidelines, we strongly suggest that you login to your member account and use the Edit function to modify them. Failure to do so could result in summary removal of some, or all, of the articles in your account.

I don't see why they want this retroactive since those rules have never been in effect before, but, hey, it's their party.

I like the fact you can place anchor in the text. Just keep it related to the topic of the article.

Also, after a while, you get put on there auto acceptance so your articles are accepted right after submitting.

Nothing beats Ezines on site traffic though. Backlink power or no backlink power, I haven't experienced another site that gives the traffic straight from people on there site. Buzzle might be a close second

In terms of backlinking, I think goarticles.com is great! However, I find it a bit hard to rank for my targeted keyword as compared to ezinearticles.com.

I still prefer ezinearticles.com to generate traffic...

I have noticed that some of my articles at GoArticles that I posted over a year ago have dropped a few positions in the last couple of month despite lots of backlinks. Then, I noticed that GoArticles.com has dropped from PR6 to PR4. Now I am wondering how much correlation there is between backlinks to an article and the PR of the website hosting the article.

Definitely use it as part of your backlinking arsenal. I can't say for sure if it alone has a great deal of power but combined with EZA and other article directories is nice in terms of backlinkins from various IPs. My answer would be Yes!

GoArticles is good, but note that they don't accept FREE email addresses like Gmail to sign up for an account. That leaves most people out of the loop for using them, unless you've setup email accounts with your domain.

My top three article directories are as follows:
      • Ezinearticles.com
      • Rysite.com
      • Articlebase.com
Each have different perks that make each one an absolute necessity in your arsenal. Goarticles is also good, but for a few reasons it doesn't make my top cut.

As mcain mentioned, Article marketing is a great link building strategy that not only helps attain rankings, but also traffic. It's an activity that everyone enjoys, from the search engines to the people that you may be doing SEO for.

I love Go Articles, too. All of my content is approved instantly and I get good results from them.

When it comes to article marketing, you shouldn't limit yourself to just 1 directory. Sure, Ezine Articles may be the biggest, but that doesn't mean you should ignore every other top directory out there. Besides valuable backlinks, there are lots of people who read Go Articles, Articles Base, etc, that may not read EZA. Why limit yourself?

It is better to post 6 articles to both Ezine and Goarticles. You can post the same article on both and that will get you more out of it.
