How to get a blog or news site to google?

I am wondering how other people's blog or news sites listed at google news search. Any idea how to do it?

    Well, your post have to be made on a site that google considers a known news site I guess.. And build backlinks to it to let google know about it, as well as social bookmark it.

    Just my GUESS...

      Yeah, i do agree with you. Content still the king, good content = good indexed.

        If you want to be listed on the google news site,
        you most assuredly would have to submit it. They don't
        use just anything on their news site. You are then competing
        with the big boys, AP, CNN, Reuters, etc. As well as the
        celebrity/huge bloggers. The news site has nothing really
        to do with anything else related to SEO.

        This is different than just being a blog or news site that shows
        up in regular search results. That would be similar to just getting
        any site to show. Your blogs, tweets, etc. are not hard to get up
        there.

          This is more complicated than that, there some tricks to get your site approved by google news, but the hard work is to make it look professional and with history background, it should contain around 3 months of news / over 100 posts, and you would have to post fresh news (unique articles) for every of your news categories day in day out while it is being reviewed for approval by google news. Even after that you will have to constantly add news everyday. This means a lot of work. I am still working on mine (check my sig). I am trying to populate it with press releases and then will have to populate it with fresh news. Not easy, writing articles is not my best area, and I am looking for guest writers or maybe looking to outsource it.

    Post your news in trustworthy sites. Create backlinks from high PR sites. This works for me

    Make sure that all internal pages are well seo optimized ( title , keywords and descriptions of the meta source should be related to each page's content etc ) , Plus site maps and back linking and your website results should be on fine on google search

    If you want to get to Google news site, then you will have to use press releases. Submit news worthy content to top newsrooms and make sure that it is interesting. If your press release gets many views, then you can see your site in Google news site.
