Article marketing - works for SEO?

I want to know what peoples views are on article marketing for SEO/link purposes.

Is there really any difference between spinning the article and submitting the same article to multiple directories?

Anyone got good results in search engines from main method being article marketing?

    Well Google does filter out duplicate contents and makes
    your links don't count towards the search engine main index
    and that's why you need a "unique" article.

    One way to do that is through the use of a spinner.

    Articles are better ways to build links, you can also try press releases
    or web directories.

    From what I understand Google HATES duplicate content. I'd spin them and submit to different directories

    Yes, articles will really helpful to get good backlinks and from top article directories we will get good amount traffic too..but we need to concentrate on two things, spinning articles will increase the approval rate, and also after submitting we need to track our the article page and ping it for quick indexing.

    Like everything, it will depend on the perceived quality of the site where the article appears. If, for example, I submit an article on something meaningful about my area which has been sought by a local regional broadcaster or periodical and it is published, it would probably be viewed as a good link.

    If you are submitting the article to a load of "me too" directories with no real relevance then the link will have little or no power.

    If you are submitting to the quality directories, it help to some extent. however submitting the same article to 500 directories is not worth it.

    Thanks for all above suggestions for use of article marketing, by article marketing you can make huge backlinks for your website this is true but most important thing by article marketing people knows better about your services and products. Article Marketing is not just for making backlinks for a site. From Article Sites you also generate valuable traffic for a site by writing good and unique articles.
