hello,

i am about to start working on my first adsense mini page and have a question about keyword results and monthly searches.

i found a phrase that gets 56,200 results and the same phrase has 4400 monthly global searches (the number is different when i use the google keyword tool and use exact instead of phrase)

do you think it's worth building a site considering the competition and monthly search results?

i really appreciate your help!

The number always differ when your search for "Exact Searches" and "Phrase Searches" of a particular keyword. Exact searches means actual searches for a particular keyword say "loans", while phrase searches will be for all phrases including a particular keyword say "" loan rate", "loan interest" and so on.

So exact searches will always be lesser than phrase searches.

understood, but would you build a mini page taking into consideration the competition and monthly search volume?

      thanks!

What is better to use : Phrase Searches or Exact Searches to forecast the future demand of the keyword?

Those figures are a good start but what is the competition like? Have you checked allintitle and allinurl? Are they less than 10,000?

What about if you put the keywords into Google? Have you checked to see what the pr of the pages that come up are? Are they top level domains or are they sub pages? How many links do they have, is it less than 100?

There is much more to consider than just the keywords.

    Best wishes,

    Ruth

Since it's an adsense site it would depend on the CPC. Don't go to low. Ballpark figure for Google's first page is 40% plus clickthru for the #1 spot (unlikely), and 5% average for the rest of the page. If you're not on the first page forget it. In the example of 4000 searches (rounded off) you might get 200 searches - IF you reach page 1, and only a percentage of those people will click (probably 5% or less). JMO
