Average time on site 3 mins and 46 secs but not converting

Hi Guys
im in a mess - ive got my seo website to page 1 of google for a number of competitive keywords. the average time on my site is 3 mind and 42 secs which is good i hope however its only good if im converting.

my websites in my signature the seo services site.

Im in the process of getting the site redesigned as I believe its not giving the correct impression. But 3 mins and 42 secs without conversion is not good. Im calculating conversion by the number of people requesting a free website report.

Any advise guys would help alot.

If you're speaking of your last siganture link I know one reson why it doesn't convert: You have to put in your phone number. Many people are afraid of phone advertising if they hand out their phone number in the internet or they're afraid of direct contact through the phone. If you need the number for the offer you maybe shouldn't ask for it on the first form.

  If someone will be trusting me to work on their site - or is at the least interested in a free website report then this is crucial for me - Im not going to be building reports only to find that I can not contact the customer.
  
  The telephone part is very important to me. As you are aware commissioning a company to look after a websites seo requires trust. If they cant trust me with the number in the first place then maybe they are not actually serious.
  
  I would love to give it a go and remove the telephone request but its essential I have it.

  As I said, if you need the telephone request, don't remove it, just test a different opt-in. For example a link to a offer page where youe write some information and why you need the phone number etc. So you don't scare potential customers away.
  I think the opt-in form is to unprofessionell for serious customers or real companys (it reminds on the normal email opt-ins for a fast and often crappy free report, but you offer a serious service) and other people like IM newbies are afraid of giving the phone number directly as I already said.

  I understand - Your right i should do some testing. Im actually getting my website redesigned and am hoping i will be able to work with the designer so that I can have a number of opt in forms and see which ones convert the most.
