Keyowords That Are Similar

Hi.

In the USA people refer to it as 'sneakers' while in the UK the word 'trainers'. If there is a section on my site for these type of sport shoes, would it be better to have two entirely different sections or is it better just to have one but incorporate both keywords in the articles?

Thanks.

Jim.

it depends on where your traffic is coming from, and how are you advertising?

I want traffic to come from anywhere: the US, UK or anywhere else in the world. The traffic is organic for adsense purposes.

Google's LSI considers both words to be semantically identical. If you're looking at marketing in both the US and the UK I would suggest having separate pages, since most people in the UK will search for trainers, and are less likely to buy sneakers simply because this implies overseas postage is going to be involved at some point.
