    Submit some articles to article directories in exchange for a link back to your site.Submit your url to various directories. Back in the early days of the internet, there were no search engines like Google or Yahoo. People found what they needed by searching a directory that was broken into categories.

    It's not all about backlinks, but at some point you're probably going to want to see how much work it will be to beat what they have. Well focused content on the right domain name can often skip you straight ahead of most results, whatever you don't beat will usually need links to overtake.

    Just check out their links and if you've seo'd your pages as much as you can - get link building.

      Not just backlinks, it is important to get quality, niche specific backlinks (high PR)..also your pages should contain relevant and unique content..
