Step 1. Download and install Firefox

Step 2. Download and install the SearchStatus plugin

Step 3. Some of the highest and most respected blogs are those in .edu and .gov sites, so do a Google search for these kind of blogs.

Click here to search Google for .edu blogs
Click here to search Google for .gov blogs

Step 4. Find the SearchStatus bar (bottom right corner of your browser window) and right-click the '@' symbol. Check the option for 'Highlight NoFollow Links'

Step 5. Now visit the various blogs you've found, and see whether the links are highlighted or not. If they're not, then they're dofollow and you can start posting.

Write quality articles to Ezinearticles.com but have write at least 30 articles to

see any positive results.

As for being like them, why not asking them for help directly?
