I have some old domains for sites I am discontinuing with many links to them.

If I forward those domains to another site will that pass on the links and help me rank better?

Thanks,

Aaron

I think if its a 301 permanent redirect then I believe it will.

    Good Luck!

I think your links will stay, but I'm note sure about effect of them, especially if you use 2.0 properties

      Don't let them lapse Aaron.

Direct all the links that you built to those old domains to your new Web priorities either through links to the new sites on the old homepages (or whichever ones the links were to) or a 301 redirect, though there is some PR decay supposedly in the redirect.

If you add new outbound links to the old domain, add some new content and backlink boost it as Google goes to sleep on old pages that have been inactive for quite some time. A healthy dose of social bookmarking when the new links have been placed on the old domain pages should also help get the spiders to find and reward the surge from the old domain backlinks to your new sites.
