How can I manually find blogs for Profile backlinks?

I see several program like Scrapebox, etc but I don't really want to use such an automated program so I was wondering what the MANUAL way would be to find blogs to use.

    Well blogs are not used for profile links.And Scrapebox is the best tool IMO to find blogs to get links from, whether you want to automate the process of posting your comments or not is totalll up to you. You can just harvest them and then post to the blogs manually if you chose.

      What kind of footprints are you after?

      I'm kind of confused as the OP talks about finding blogs for profile links and they are two seperate things.

    try searching this term in google to find blogs that are relevant and have open comments for .edu sites which carry alot of weight in google. This allows you to find students that have blogs on there universities website and gets you powerful backlinks

    inurl:blog site:.edu -comments are closed -you must be logged in to comment "keyword"

    This is a way that you can get lots of different high powered links. Not all of the web pages will work but with my experience about 500 or so for each web page usually work pretty good
