Which Domain Would You Choose...And Why?

In trying to register some new domains I frequently run into a problem we've no doubt all seen: The 'best' or 'perfect' name was taken long ago.
So, in trying to come up with alternatives I usually try to stay with a .COM or .NET if at all possible.

I try to avoid 'dashes' and have had very good success in the past with the keyword phrase as the domain name, (when I can get it) in terms of Google ranking.

I can't get "keywordphrase.com" or .net or .org.

If your choice was "keywordphrase123.com" or keywordphrase with some other unimportant appendage what would you choose? ..do you think it better to add something to the FRONT of the phrase or the BACK of it?

OR....would you prefer "keyword-phrase.com"

For me, none of this is really about building some big branded site. I'm just trying to tilt the odds of good keyword phrase ranking a little more in my favor. Thanks much!

    Hi,

Although I cannot say for sure I have tried using stop words in front of domains and I could not rank as well. I use more or less the same keyword process and SEO tactics most of the time and I just dont get results unless I have the keyword phrase only.

The best advice I was ever given was not to fall in love with a keyword until it has passed your checks ie is the domain available. If not move on.

I was just wondering about this too...

Couldn't I combine 2 keywords (related) in the domain name? Is that considered "stuffing" though?

I did a little searching and came up with this nice article:
      Code:

Keep variations in the name at the end of your domain name. Putting other words up front hurts your site's search results.
