My Journey To $100,000 A Year: Seeking Advice To Get Started

Yep...I've said it.

I want to make $100,000 a year...

And I'm dead set on doing it.

My name's Tyler Hammock, and I've been dabbling in internet marketing almost a year now. You know...a little here and a little there. Now, I'm ready to focus on it full force!

This is the career path I want to take, and I'm ready to do whatever it takes to make this happen. So look forward to seeing a lot of questions from me.

My MAIN goal is to reach $100,000 a year within two years. I'm a firm believer in using small goals and building up to the large goal. Starting today, my first goal is to make an average of $10 a day within 2 months.

I'm asking for your advice.

I know my strengths...however, I'm not sure which avenue will compliment my strengths the best.

I'll list my strengths below, but what I would like to ask you guys is which tactics should I use to reach my ultimate goal? Which strategies should I use? Sniper sites? Article Marketing? Adsense? Anything else?

I've really sat down and thought about what my main strengths are. While it might not be many, these are the strengths I feel I really exceed at:

  1. Research - Simply put...I love doing it! While I might not know all the tips to finding what I'm looking for, I always eventually find it. I love the process and it's my strongest strength.
  2. Article Writing - When I sit down and really focus (unlike with this post) I can write good, well-written articles. If there's one area I'm lacking in...it's in preselling with my articles.
Like I said...not many, but I'm willing to learn whatever I need to.

I'm in this for the long haul and I'm eager to get started!

If you have the time...I would appreciate any suggestions or ideas on the route I should begin taking to start earning $10 a day within two months and eventually end up making $100,000 a year.

Any advice what-so-ever will be greatly appreciated. I look forward to talking with you all and being a member of this AMAZING community!

Talk to you later...

Sincerely,

Tyler Hammock

I have time and I need to have another review of newest book which already has one rave review from a beginner like yourself.

Now I wonder if I can chat with you on Skype where I will also inspire you to start this journey on the right foot and keep walking towards the right goal.

Let me know and I'll send over my Skype Addy.

    Hey Tyler,

Welcome! I'm new here as well. I've been reading IM/SEO forums for a while now and WF seems to be the gold standard. I think that you'll definitely get some good advice here that will set you in the right direction - there are a lot of really bright people on here. I've got a similar goal (100k in a couple yrs), so hopefully we'll get a chance to discuss our experiences along the way.

Good luck man. I'm pretty optimistic, and (like you) believe that if you're willing to work hard enough you can make it happen.

Always build on your strengths - if you love something you'll do great at it. Writing + research means you might be really good at writing PLR, doing copy, writing eBooks etc.

Have you thought about getting into the PLR biz or writing for other more successful IM people?

If these are truly your strengths then the fastest way to profit is to exploit them.

Not everyone has to be a Clickbank monkey - churning out articles to EZA ;-)

You sound like a testimonial page in the making! Hello Tyler, nice to meet you!

Don't wait until you've memorized the top 10 books on IM. Go for it!

There are some people who wait 2-4 years to get an educational degree, and there are others who use their money to spend on real world experience. I'm a photographer and instead of taking classes, I used my money to buy a camera and find some people to shoot. I was quickly offered paid jobs! So go 'balls to the wall,' and start with what you've got.

    Don't lose sight of tomorrow.

Based on my experience, I get used to thinking "Now, now, NOW!" Tomorrow will have it's own victories and obstacles; keep a steady forward-thinking momentum. If you have an opportunity to either make a quick buck or establish a stronger foundation for the future, go for the latter!

    Do what you love.

Along the way you'll be strengthened in your confidence of what you love doing. Unfortunately people commit themselves to paths that aren't meant for them. They talk themselves into continuing on a path they don't like for the sake of paying the bills or getting rich. Don't settle for that! We live in an age where if you know the basic ins and outs of the internet, you'll be able to find income doing whatever it is you want. Don't forget to ask yourself that once in awhile to keep yourself on track.

Don't get lost in the information. Take one thing at a time.

There's a 'Phase' for every project. Stick to the current phase you're on. You shouldn't be reading about Article Marketing if you have no article to market! This is a trap I fall in often.

Good luck, and feel free to ask us any question you have.

i recommend that you keep the big picture in mind and take however long it takes even if it takes you a few years or more compared to 2 years.

slow and steady gets the worm!
