I generally don't use profile links as they are less relevant plus a behavior of spamming but many people in this forum will subscribe Angela or Pete forum profile links subscription for a small fee per month

  • If you are just creating links from form profiles you are wasting your time and leaving google a footprint that says ... Please filter me I'm a spammer.

Find Forums that are relevant to your niche and become an expert in that form. Build trust within your niche so people will want to visit your offers. If you can't do that then you should be in that Forum.

Step 1. Google: "your keyword" forum or "name of the place" "your keyword" forum

fishing forum, dog food forum, Texas debt relief forum

Step 2. Go to these forums, see alexa rank, the number of posts, the date of the last post.

Usually there are 2-3 really big forums on the relevant topic. Concentrate on those.

      Good luck

SlavaRybalka has the procedure right if that's what you want to do.

I think the real value of forums is participating in the forum instead of just registering with as many for an almost worthless profile link.

I agree - you should post in the forums rather than just signing up for a profile link. I find them using Google's forum search.

Type your niche keyword into Google and then click on the little more search options link and then on the left hand side you'll see Forum as a search area.

This will reveal forums in that niche - or posts in forums using that keyword.

I know we all have our own way to do link building/backlinking whatever you call it. But I do agree with InternetMarketingIQ that encouraging people to your offer once you are already a reputable member is more effective than simply placing your links in the profiles.

1- i do agree with SlavaRybalka, i usually type the keyword follwing it with the word "forum", it really helps so much.
2- when you find the forum, try to narrow your search "inside the forum" to post your topic in the right place that matches with the niche related to your website.

You need a software call scrape box and a way to find the profile footprint!

Relevancy doesn't have much power without Domain Authority, unless anyone can proves it work for high competition search terms, High PR profile links still work better.

Like it or not, profile backlinks is Gray to Black hat strategy if without participation with the forum. But who cares if it's working? It is not "ethical" but work great!

Google filtering spammer all the time, even legitimate backlinks caught in the filter - sometime.

If finding forums relevant to your niche and establish your brand - that's forum marketing, not SEO. Profile backlinks is just one type of powerful backlinks.

Participate will be white hat way - forum marketing.

Please don't call registering profile link as worthless. They are not "ethical", but not worthless, it works extremely well when you are using High Domain PR links!

      Great advice for forum marketing.

Forum marketing is powerful if done right, but nothing to do with profile links.

Nope, if the domain is high PR sites, any dofollow links would carries a lot of weight - even you are not in the same niche.

Profile links do work! Just not "ethical" for many people. Use it if you don't really mind what people think of it, and try other method for backlinks if you are not comfortable with the idea of profile links.

There are many type of backlinks strategy, like white hat stuff:

      1. Create link bait page, offer free software, script, report or tools and promote that page on forums, blogs and many community sites in return for naturally backlinks!

      2. Create good content, submit the post to authority social sites like digg, delicious and stumble upon. If your content gain recognition, many traffic and natural links will come to it!

      3. Create your own article directory, write compelling popular articles ready for distribution. Start looking for authority blog for guest blogger, offer them some content and if they like it, send them to your article directory for more! Each article will had a backlink to your main site.

Concentrate on producing good content, keep promoting your site and content for natural backlinks!
