Although several articles of mine have been approved by EZA, I find it can't help me build more "DoFollow" backlinks to my blogs. So, I am ready to try another one.
Some friends advise me to try squidoo.com. But I am not familiar with it. So, are you familiar with squidoo.com and is it helpful to SEO strategy.
Thank your very much.

I would say Squidoo can be helpful when used as a small part of your overall SEO strategy but it's not going to magically vault a site from 1000 to 10 in Google either. Creating a lens is easy and you can reuse a lot of the content you already submitted to EZA as material for your Squidoo lenses.

I read a while back that it can be helpful so I went ahead and created some lenses. They have a nice, easy to use setup that allows for plenty of links. I figured it can't hurt, but I don't know that you'll get a whole lot of results.

      Yes, Thanks for your reply.
Perhaps I should find other "DoFollow" article directories sites for my SEO strategy.

Yes Squidoo is very helpful for SEO the thing is that you need to promote your lense very effectively and on regular basis. Do not put some garbage content or article to your lense it will hurt your efforts so post less but some unique and informative content can give you great results in Search Engines..

Lens are not easy to cached by search engine you need to do good promotion for it.

Squidoo is helpfull, but should only be one of the proberties.
When I build, I try to mix things up with multiple types of backlins.
    - Articles
    - Social Bookmarks
    - Rss
    - Blog commenting
    - Web2.0 Proberties.

Before Squidoo lenses were very powerfull, but in my opinoin it has lost a little bit of it's value.

By the way, could you tell me how to use RSS to promote my sites? Thank you,

        Hi again Duia!

There are many people who will state that blog commenting is useless if the blog do not have the DoFollow tag. In my opinion NoFollow is important as well.

        About RSS.
First of all you will need a site which do support RSS.
For example if you are on a Wordpress platform you should be able to find your feed by going to "yourdomain.com/rss"/
If you are on other platforms this might be different.
When you have found your feed, you can submit it.

I normally use tools for this, however there are free services on Internet for doing just that.

feedsubmitter.com is a service for just that.

If you would like to know more what rss and feeds actually is I can recommend en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS

Why go to wikipedia when you're in the Warrior Forum?

If you want to learn RSS on B-L-A-S-T, you're in the best place on the planet; hands down!!!

Here's a list of RSS Aggregators provided by fellow Warrior Mark Hess: http://www.warriorforum.com/war-room...feed-free.html

Another fellow Warrior created the RSSBot, which I use and that tool is awesome.

If you are a War Room member, you can grab a copy of "RSS Traffic Wizard" free of charge.

I can absolutely GUARANTEE, nothing you find on Wiki is going to remotely compare to the insights, information and strategies you will find on the Warrior Forum!

            That's obviously true.

However as for an initial instruction to what RSS is, Wikipedia is good.

As for how to actually use RSS you will need to seek information elsewhere, and I suppose there is a lot of good posts around here.

Wiki is good for explaning things shortly, nothing else.

In the overall scheme of things "ALL" back links are helpful, including Squidoo. And contrary to popular belief, no follow links do pass some link juice

The mistake most IMer's make is engaging in back link building in "Willy Nilly" fashion.

Your back linking strategy should include:

(1). Your own private network, (a collection of websites, article directories, web directories, forums and blogs that you own, hosted on different Class C IP addresses.)
(2). Your corporate network, (this is a group of IMer's you have banded together with who each have their own private networks like yours.) If your group consists of seven people, all which who have 30 web properties each - that you can use for back linking, your power to build one way back links multiples exponentially. In such a network you can literally - instantly create hundreds of powerful one way back links
    (3). A bevy of web 2.0 properties. (That includes: Squidoo, Hubpages, Ning.com, Shine.yahoo.com, blogger.com, i.ph, flixya.com, etc.
    (4). Free web hosting accounts
    (5). Cheap web hosting accounts
    (6). Social bookmarking
    (7). RSS Feeds

You put/unite all of the above together by forming strategically placed Linkwheels.

I have found that squidoo can be helpful but only if you have done some serious keyword research in the niche you are targeting.
If you just create a lens about any old thing you are basically just building a backlink to your site, and you will not be bringing in any extra traffic.
So, bottom line, yes squidoo is helpful no matter what, but if you do keyword research and target good keywords you can drive even more traffic to your website.

Yes, I can't agree with you anymore. Through my personal experience, it is difficult to gain some extra traffic because of keen competition there.

From where you got this news, that Squidoo got penalized by Google.

Squidoo is still a authority domain with high PR and when you create a lens on Squidoo, you get a subpage of your own on this domain. This is highly beneficial if you make a good squidoo lens with some good content and promote it a little bit. Although it will not do some magic for your site, but yes you will get a powerful backlink.

Personally, I think we shouldnt focus too much on Squidoo purely for SEO since they might eventually add nofollow tags to all outgoing links and thus remove all SEO benefits out of it. We should put relevant content on it to attract visitors and ultimately send more visitors to our money site but no purely for backlink purpose.

Squidoo lenses are good and can be used effectively for SEO and getting target traffic. But your content should be quite informative and unique and please don't try to give it a spammy look. Remember Squidoo is useful but takes time for achieving top position in Google. So keep hard working also for promoting your lens once it'll be published.

Indeed squiddo gives you a very powerful dofollow backlink and is very helpful in getting a website ranking high in google.

Anyways I would recommend you to combination of many high PR dofollow web 2.0 properties and use them in creating a link wheel. It will surely help you in getting a high rank in google.

Don't forget to ping, social bookmark and RSS submission of those backlinks to get them indexed faster in google.

    Hope I have helped

      Squidoo annoys me.
It seems impossible to get your lenses indexed and even when they do, they are nowhere to be found in the search results. Other web 2.0 sites do not cause that amount of problems and are indexed within minutes\hours.

Has anyone else here had the same experience with Squidoo?
Does anyone know why do these problems occur?
I mean, Squidoo is supposed to be one the best web 2.0 sites out there but it seems like the search engines are ignoring it for some reason...

They don't reveal how you can do it over 75.

But in my experience, it becomes over 75 when you have

      1) Back links to this hub
      2) You are an active user.
      3) Your content is good and long
      4) People comment on your hub.

Squidoo is definitely one of my 4 favorite social media sites, and it can really deliver positive and high quality results for SEO and link building campaigns as well as in branding your site. Having a squidoo page for your website’s brand also helps in adding relevant pages for SERP’s when people are searching for your brand. This allows you to dominate the 1st page, if in case that your site has competitors that has the same domain name as yours.

For SEO benefit, you should create links to your website by creating one page websites (lenses) not only on squidoo but also other do-follow web 2.0 sites such as hubpages, vox, Quizilla, weebly, wetpaint, tumblr, yola etc. Search for 'Link wheel' approach on this forum
