Hi All
Im looking to purchase a seo hosting plan - im not exactly sure where to buy it from but have seen a number of hosts including hostgator - Hostgators prices are reasonable and work out to be $35 a month for 5 c class ips - they are selling under another name and there packages can be found at the following address

SEO Hosting Plans - Multiple Class C IP addresses, Private Name Servers, cPanel & WHM

I was wondering if anyone else is interested as you can host unlimited sites. There is a diskspace limit of 20gb which is big and is much more then i need - The benefits of seo hosting are many including linking sites to your main site and so on.

I am planning to build a number of websites and then use them at my disposal. Its a great way to have control of linking between your own sites and not being penalized for it.

Anyway if anyone is interested then it would be good to split the cost down the middle - I am a trustworthy guy and am looking for someone similar

many thanks

abs

    Hi,
I would shop around before you pay that ammount for c-class ip hosting, that essentially works out to $7 per ip, you could probably do it cheaper by paying shared hosting with 5 different hosts,

check out SEO Hosting or C Class IP Hosting they offer it from $1 per seperate ip, I havent personally used them yet so dont know what there service is like.

If you are going into the game of seperate c-class ip hosting for SEO then you will be needing more than 5 c-class ips as you will not see that much seo benefit from what will essentially be 5 links from different ip addressses,

I would go for at least 50 ips which is only $50 from site above, then I would go down the road of creating a few different strategies for each of your niches,

ie I would setup 1 generel blog on each ip with unique content so that you can have multiple catagories so you can get links for any niche, I would also set up a niche related autoblog on each ip, and also setup a niche blog on each ip for which you can submit spun content to.

also you probably know not to put google analytics/adsense/any footprint on them lol,
if you wanted to monetize them then a good way is to cloack your links and use clickbank/affiliate/cpa

      Hi thanks for your reply

I will take a look at the link - it certainly sounds cheap - as long as they have a cpanel - fantastico and 24/7 support- and other functions then i cant see why i wouldnt use them.

I wanted to start of with about 5 as it would make it more manageable for me. I currently have about 8 sites and 6 of them are a page rank 3 and have been for sometime now. I would like them to benefit my website.

I will also create more websites and use them to benefit my seo clients. If i need more then by all means i will look to sourcing some more.

I was actually thinking about getting multiple hosting accounts as it does work out to be cheaper - I actually mentioned this to hostgator when i had a discussion with them - However they replied by saying that we can not guarantee you will get multiple c class ips if you dont go with the seo package.

Then again I could get one from hostgator - blue host - and then continue with another few more providers.

      Anyway thanks for the idea

hey just checked the site out a little more, its seems that the site is a whitelabel for SEO Hosting Packages as when you click order it goes to this sites checkout page, also check that page out as it lists the features as in what cpanel and simple install scripts it uses.

When your getting into c-class ip hosting you are really starting to get into the advanced stuff that has many different strategies you can use, just some general advice is that you dont want to put "money sites" on the c-class ip hosts, you just want to put sites on there that you can use to leverage for links, I also wouldnt link back to any sites in your network from your money sites.

with the site above just test it out with 10 sites and see how you get on in terms of managing the sites, the easiest way to get started is to have autoblogs and then when you have more time/money to invest you can expand.

also you could setup a wordpress blog on each ip and then purchase LinkFarmEvolution to be able to manage them, with LinkFarmEvolution you can submit spun content to your wordpress blogs, I havnt got LFE but have seen some good reviews on it.

I host with SEOHosting at the moment, i have the 5 C-Class deal. Lately my sites have been down at sporadic intervals almost every day. Although the support at HG is very good the Server i'm on seems to be on it's last legs, it's becomming a real pain in the @!#.

I have 100 IP's with C Class IP Hosting - it works fine. They don't use cpanel/fantastico, instead they use SiteWorx and SimpleScripts. It works just fine.

Their customer service is questionable and a bit slow to respond, but I only keep mini sites on these IP's anyways. I have a ton of sites that have top 5 rankings on their service - not to say they wouldn't be top 5 all on the same IP but you never know.

Either way, nothing to complain about with them and the price is right. I would NEVER, EVER spend $6 - $8 for IP addresses, hell even most hosts will give you new IPs for a $1 - $2 per month with a reseller account, just ask them if they can allocate different C Classes.

      ---- UPDATE ----

And just as I wrote this I realized their server is down!!! UGH!!!! Still VERY cheap option, so hopefully it comes back up soon.

I also have the 5 class-c IPs with SEOHosting and I have not had any issues with their service. Highly recommended.

Check out Go Pro with SEO Hosting. They have some of the cheapest IP/$ at around $3 per, CPanel/WHM, white-label name servers, etc. Same features as SEOHosting.com but a bit cheaper. We have a few clients using their service and it seems good from what I can tell.

Concerning the outages, the first four things I would check,:

(a). The "Number of Processes Running"
      (b). CPU Usage
      (C). Memory usage
(d). Determine if you are using any resource intensive scripts

I installed the WP Article Directory on a HG server and did that same install for others individuals on various hosting accounts, all shared accounts. About a week later, I noticed sites on that server were constantly kicking out 500 Internal Server Errors. Others I installed that script for were reporting the same errors.

When I went in and checked the stats on the HG server, the Number of Processes Running was REDLINED! They allow 25, it was at 26 to 28! When I went to view the processes, the culprit was that WordPress Article Directory, it's a zippin resource hog.

To solve the problem, I'm moving it to another host that allows more resources. Hostgator has that limit on all shared accounts. Your host may be the same.

I concur on the price point issue!!!

I have been using them (the 50 IP package) for about the last 6 weeks or so. So far everything has been great.

    Questions:

    1. Not leaving a footprint with adsense was mentioned. Is this something you think google monitors and you really can get docked for?

    2. Also, someone wrote to not put your money sites on c class ips. But if your using a generic host like bluehost or hostmonster, all your money sites will be on the same ip. Wont it look suspicious to google to see your site on seperate ip addresses all linking to the same sites?
