Blogspot is Just Not Working. Appreciate Help!

I have decided to run a few experiments. I built a Blogspot blog and put about 10 posts going after my target keyword. This was after a keyword study using Market Samurai.

I also created 4 videos and posted them all over with links to the blogspot page.

I also created and got approved 3 ezine articles and pointed them to the blogspot site.

I did everything by the book that I have always gotten results with before and NOTHING IS WORKING.

Logically I should have No 1 position for keyword just off high PR links but when I search for backlinks, it says there is NONE! Yet I know I have created them in my vids and articles and blog comment postings everywhere...

What is going on??? Am I missing something? Does google not even consider a blogspot site? Where are my backlinks?

How could you ever make that statement?

I think you overestimated the worth of what you have done and
    underestimated the competition.

What you have done will not get immediate results.
Backlinks can take a while to be counted, and you will never find
    a true count.

You are under the impression that you and you alone deserve to be on top.
I would worry about anyone who gave me a guarantee like that.

Crikey, logically you should expect no results other than to be no better off than the thousand other people probably doing exactly the same thing as you are in exactly the same niche.

Forget checking for your backlinks, its a waste of time and always inaccurate. Spend that time doin something constructive like building links and content.

I based that statement on a lot of factors, not just a guess. I have been able to place that position using the same tactics EXCEPT that I was not using a blogspot page as a landing page. That is not the weird part...it is that I don't show up at all after a week's work. I mean when I do searches on the backlink count sites NOTHING shows up. Yet I know they are there. That is what is perplexing me. I just don't know if I am missing some piece of important data about blogspot or the high PR links I built in general. I just don't want to be building tons of content if the efforts are disappearing into nowhere.

Just to confirm, I checked this site Improve Search Engine Rankings, Inbound Link Checker Tools and it said zero inbound links, yet I know there are about 25 I have been building using ezine, video sites and blog commenting. So something MUST be wrong.

I appreciate your boldness, but you can't possibly expect
backlinks to show up within a weeks time.

You can't trust any backlink checker, and you certainly
don't ever really know how many google counts.

I feel your pain, however, but you gotta have a little
      patience.

If you've been doing this for a while, then as soon as you think
you figured it out, boom, google says, "Wait a sec..."

      I can't say there's a day I go by that I'm not frustrated.

Google owns Blogger/Blogspot. Why the hell would they not consider their very own platform? I run all of my sites on Blogger and have had no problems whatsoever developing backlinks and decent rankings, but IT TAKES TIME! In Google's eyes, you probably won't receive an accurate measure of authority until your website has passed by the 12 month mark. And you're expecting what?! To dominate a niche within a matter of weeks? You also say that you built "high PR links" from video and Ezine pages. Well, the chances are that these "inner pages" have no PR whatsoever. My advice would be to just be patient, build your content and backlinks on a regular basis and just take it from there.
