Askimet - How many blogs use it - How does it work??

How does Askimet work?

If a previous comment I have made (quality) has been marked as SPAM, by an Askimet user, does this then mean that I wont be able to comment on any other askimet wordpress blogs at all, and it wont even go into the SPAM folder for the moderator to decide whether it is valued or not?

How many Wordpress blogs use Askimet compared to just normal spam protection?

Like I said, I make good comments, however just wanted to know the effects of Askimet.

    I use Akismet on all my blogs. Yes, if you mark a comment as spam, future comments will be caught by it.

      But what if that person with that domain then submits a valid comment, can you then mark it as valid or does the comment totally disappear?

    Akismet is almost set and forget.

    Akismet compiles list of spams around the world and when your blog got a comment, it compares it on its list. It is automatic.

    If you want to mark a certain comment as non-spam, you can do it on your dashboard. Akismet list all comments it listed as spam.
