Hey guys,
I've written one article and posted it to scribd.com, and I have built a few backlinks to it and it's ranked # 4.

any advice or a few resources to boost this article to the top? I have tried linkwheels and maybe it's because i'm using the same article on all of the properties, but I need a way to get this to the top of the SERPS please help!

any ideas would be greatly appreciated thank you!

I strongly suggest that you read my PM with utmost care. Also, the post directly below mine explains it all!

(P.S. the websites ranked above yours are websites with content, whereas yours is a branded report, that might also have something to do with it, and if that's the case, you could try building a website and then linking back to your affiliate links therein, and go from there, and test that out with your keyword(s)...)

Get more backlinks. That's the best advice for ranking your article even higher.

BTW, don't screw up your ranking now by doing something stupid like spamming or linking from a link farm.

    Just get more backlinks.

But be sure the competition is not too tough before building the backlinks.

#1 is a wordpress page. Use wordpress and see if you get higher ranking.

      Nope, I don't see wordpress on #1.

It's can be just because you visit wordpress too much and google shows that up in your searches.

The #1 site for the term "bearded care"

      hxxp://www.beardeddragonguide.com

Also, don't go with wordpress.com if you will be promoting an affiliate program because it's against their TOS.

Get high-PR, IP-diverse geo-diverse backlinks. That's all you need - there is no magic to it.

The magic is in obtaining the high-PR, IP-diverse geo-diverse link, not in knowing that you need to obtain those.

Nice, although to be fair, Goole isn't as competitive as Google for getting top listings.

That's as close as I'm getting to an April Fool's post today. Thanks, I'll be here all week. Tip your waitresses, they're working hard for you.

@Mohammad Afaq, Equus was 100% correct when he said the #1 site (beardeddragon) was a Wordpress site. You seem to be getting confused between sites built on the Wordpress CMS but self-hosted and sites built & hosted on Wordpress.com's servers.

Of course, using Wordpress for an affiliate site when it's used on your own domain is not against anyone's TOS.

People go crazy, because as mentioned, you are literally showing them how to rank in google for something, which they will look at it like this $.$ with literally dollar signs as eyes. LOL.

People don't expect that, and then they want to kick you out as fast as possible (hide your niche and ideas you just revealed) so that they can then themselves secretly take over it. Kind of sick, but welcome to earth!

the only way to go from #4 to #1 is too build a lot more backlinks from high PR, IP diverse sites than the competing pages above you, most likely the sites above you are a lot older and more established so backlinks are the only way to do it.

Thats hilarious because goole.com is an actual search engine.

What kind of backlinks did you build to get your scribd site ranking?

I'd recommend building profiles and s bookmarking the article

Are you getting any traffic and sales currently from being in the 4th position?

If so then just repeat the same process (I.E. Writing an article, putting it on scribd and adding a few backlinks) with other keywords of similar competitiveness, in other niches and you'll make good money.

    As for building backlinks:

    Build your backlinks TODAY!

Add your link at the 30 places per month that she suggests and you will move up the rankings easily. Just remember to vary the anchor text slightly.

Let me know how you get on
