EZA said my site didn't have enough information..

Hi, I tried submitting a few articles to EZA and they were all rejected because they said my resource sites only were trying to sell something and didn't contain enough information. My sites have 4+ pages of quality, unique content and only one 336x280 adsense block on each page. Yes, they are your basic micro niche X-Factor sites, but it doesn't seem like anyone else has this problem.. does anyone? Help?

Never had a problem, all of my articles have been accepted.
Did your Ezinearticle give good content and what was your subject line?
Did you try to interest the reader and give help or was it just a review on your product? You would have to provide me with more info - if you like PM me and I will give you my opinion.

Thanks Sue, they weren't even product reviews, just informative articles that would get people interested in my sites. One was "Ways to Raise your Credit Score for Free," and another was titled "Why Do Some Weight Loss Programs Succeed?"

That's a bunch of bunk. You obviously are misinformed on what a real X-Factor blog should look like. Just because there are a lot of idiots doing it incorrectly doesn't mean that all X-Factor sites are crappy. If you actually follow what he teaches, you end up making a valuable and informative website.

This has happened to me before on a blog with over 100 pages of unique content.

I'm not sure what exactly triggers it. I added a few more links in my menu to show there was more content on the site and resubmitted. I never had a problem with it ever again.

This is just bogus. They still allow a resource box to be totally unrelated to the article itself and all of a sudden they now care about what site you are sending visitors to?!

I totally agree with your views! As they offer a resource box so you can easily link back your site from over there. If the body of the article is decent and informative then where could be the problem?! I really don't understand.

Just tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine and you'll go use another article directory. There are a few good options besides them.

    articlesbase, goarticles, etc.

Here's you first RED FLAG, you are involved in spammy niches. Certain keywords and keyword phrases automatically send RED FLAGS to EZAs and other websites.

That's not good response IMHO, especially since EZAs is a great business partner and a phenomenal source of traffic, backlinks and income.

The answer to your question(s) comes directly from Christopher Knight and the EzinesArticles Managing Editors; the men and women who ZAP articles they deem that don't make the grade. It's entitled:

That all depends on the purpose of your articles, I believe.

Last time I checked Articlesbase was a nofollow article site, so whilst they may still be able to send good targetted traffic through your articles to your websites, they're practically useless if you're using them to acquire backlinks for SEO (at least as far as Google is concerned). That only applies for the articles on their own site though - anyone who republishes will republish with a dofollow link by default I believe.

Having said that, EzineArticles still wins out since they're still dofollow, still rank easiest for articles (if you want to get them ranked), and in my experience have been responsible for getting my article republished more than any other directory.

Did you stick your links in the body of the article? They called them "resource links", so it sounds like you stuck them IN THE BODY of the article, which you are allowed two HELPFUL, NON-SALES links to support the article.

You put whatever links you want in the bottom paragraph, your bio box. Where did the OP put his links?

No I put them in the 'Author SIG - Resource Box' as it is called.

This was the warning I was given "Article In Problem Status

Your article links to a page that does not contain enough informative content."
