EzineArticles.com is useless to our SEO strategies!

Once I have built my blogs, then I tried my best to promote them with different strategies. For example, I add my blogs URLs to these popular social bookmarking sites, I try forum marketing and attract visitors from Twitter and other social sites.
Of course, EzineArticles.com is another place where I have paid much attention to. However, now, one month has passed, but I got nothing from EZA. No Traffic, No "DoFollow" BackLinks! What a pity!

In a word, EzineArticles.com is really, really, really useless...

It's not useless. You are not using it correctly.

There's a lot of traffic flowing from Ezinearticles.

    1) Your content probably it's not that great and it's not keyword rich
    2) Your title it's not catchy
    3) You don't have enough volume of articles (did you submit a minimum of 3-4 articles a day ? )

You didn't post much about your failed experiment, so I am only
guessing these 3 are your biggest problems.

I submitted about 8 artiles there last week. Unique I think high quality....but hardly any traffic from them. It really is no-where near as good as it was 3+ years ago. It's almost dead. Maybe that's just my niche?

My own suspicion is that it's your keyword research that's the problem - but I'm guessing, and I don't think anyone can actually answer your question without seeing your articles.
I am also not generating traffic from my articles. Can someone take a look at my articles and give some comments?

To get traffic from EZA, you must pick the correct keyword to rank on page 1. After you are successful in ranking, your article will receive a lot of views.

However, view alone won't give you much benefits. You must ensure your resources box has all the element to attract clicks.

So that must mean that I should pull the thousands of articles I've posted to EZA over the past four years??? Articles that have made and are making me a nice income stream...

With article marketing both measures are important, quality and quantity..
be consistent in writing and submit articles daily.. bookmark them, ping them, and do some backlinking for your articles..
After a month or two, look back and see what's your results..

I am getting 25 unique targeted visitors each day only from one article on EzineArticles.com and generally very good visitors from other articles, too.

The same thing can be said about SEO from Ezinearticles.com

    So, it is not useless.

Threads asking how to do Article Marketing come up quite often here - so I have a standard reply - I hope this helps:

Two brilliant threads to read about article marketing are these:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...marketing.html

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...eza-first.html

Read them both - all the way through - and take notes.

For further information I recommend the following directory - It is education in article marketing - a guide book and monthly newsletters - with a directory thrown in! You can read what Warriors think about it here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...alks-walk.html

Promote My Articles Article Marketing Service

I can also recommend the WSO's from this guy:

This guy also has some good stuff - some article marketing some on other things

    Hope this helps.

Just to add. I think one month is not long enough for you to really measure the effectiveness of your natural rankings from Article directories such as EZA. If you have proper bio's set-up then it does take a few months before it takes effect and helps your serps.

    Good luck with your endeavours

Hey, The traffic you get from EZA or any other article direcotires depend on "Q"s (I mean QUALITY & QUANTITY of articles). For me it works. I had written about 50 unique fresh articles with eye catchy titles and submitted to EZA & Article Rich (For EZA 35 and for ArticleRich 15), I got good traffic once the articles are approved. Later on to maintain my traffic via those articles, I used to get backlinks to those published articles time to time. That helps me to maintain traffic rate constantly....

Perhaps all my articles are not attractive so that I can't get any traffic from EZA.
By the way, could you tell me more article directory sites that really work? thanks.

For as far as I know articles from ezine are indexed by Google so fill your articles with keywords so that when people search for that term your articles will be shown and in the way you can get traffic from your articles.
