Adsense multiple sites

I am planning to use the same adsense code on multiple websites. For tracking individual site clicks I will create a URL channel inside my adsense account for each site.

Any problems with this approach?

Thanks

Sam

Yes that is correct. You should only have one account so use the same adsense codes for all the sites you put in the Adsense SetUp/Allowed Sites.
Yes create different channel names (not url) to help you identify which of your sites are getting the clicks. Name each of them anyway you want. The best is put the name of your domain name but you can name it anything as long as you know how to identify them.

Nothing wrong with that strategy. This is the best way to keep good stats on your sites.

It's against Adsense TOS to have more than one account. Some people still do it to protect themselves but I wouldn't recommend it.

You guys are missing the point. I never said "more than one account", lets say I generate adsense code for one website, can we use the same code in all sites? URL performance can be tracked by adding a separate channel for each site

I'm not sure if this ever does any good, but a little thing I do with all my adsense ads is name the file as the keyword I'm targeting.

So when I save the ad and google use the date it was created, I just add the keyword to the file. So it looks like this "300 x 250 created 12-02-09 dog treats"

I do my channels by the web site, and all my ads by the keywords.

I just figure it's another way to get my keyword into the code on the page.

That's a brilliant idea, to get a keyword in the file name - thanks
