Why Adsense is not paying for clicks?

Hi guys and girls. I have a question that is lingering in my head for some time now.

I have a few websites with Adsesnse on them, but only one was consistently making some money from Adsense. One day the traffic to this site went to zero. After some changes, the traffic is coming back up.

The weird part is that Adsense show impressions and clicks but $0.

See attached file for a sample report

My question is: How come there are clicks but I have zero earnings?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Armando

There are only two possible reasons for this as I see it:

    1) Google has simply determined the clicks to be invalid. Either they came from the same IP address as what you use to login to Adsense account, or they've found some other reason to believe the clicks someone else has made to be fraudulent.

    2) You may have set your Adsense account to only allow your ads to amass clicks and payment for certain websites/domains which are specifed under the "Allowed Sites" list. Make sure you either select the box which allows ad clicks to be valid from *any* site (not recommend, actually), or you've added your domain to the Allowed Sites list.

Beyond that, just wait and see what happens. If you still have a serious concern, email Google and they will be able to tell you the reason you're not being paid for those clicks.

Ah yes, that's a third possibility I overlooked. My bad

I've personally never had public service ads shown on any of my sites up to now, though, and therefor couldn't honestly say if they even counted towards the impressions/clicks stats.

I would guess they did :-)

DireStraits and nettech, thanks for your responses and suggestions. I guess I'll wait and see what happens.

In the mean time I think I will add all my sites to the "allowed sites" as suggested and see if this changes anything.

I am not sure if public adds were shown on my sites. Is there a way to find this out?

    Thanks again

May i make the suggestion that you delete that image of your adsense admin panel as it is strictly against Google adsense TOS if they see it it they could delete your account.

I have the same thing going on. My wordpress blog site has adsense ads and I am not getting a penny for them. People from Australia to south america from south africa to norway are clicking on ads and adsense not giving any credit for them.

I have about a 100 people visiting my blog per day that's 3000 per month. Statcounter shows exiting through adsense so I know there are clicks.

No clickfraud whatsoever. Not public service ads either.

Ok In the meantime I have discovered something. Spammers and automatic commenting software!!!

If you have a blog especially a new blog, -but applies to older ones as well, you get a whole bunch of comments by automated software (spam). I guess as the software is looking out for blogs, it somehow triggers some of the google ads and that registers with Statcounter hence showing the click, but that actually is a false positive.

Install a captcha on your wordpress blog and see how many clicks will than register. Zero!

Why? Because with the captcha you block out the spammers and their automated commenting and you'll discover no human visiting your blog. So in order to have legit visitors and clicks, you have to do some marketing.

Regardless of this, google might not paying for some of the clicks if their software "thinks" it's a fake one.

I wish Life was as simple as apple pie.
