Understanding SERP rankings outside US

Hi everybody.

I run a website and I need to exactly understand what's my ranking on Google, as seen by a US visitor.

Problem is that I get different rankings depending on the service I'm using.

I.e., for a particular keyword:

  • pos #19 with a normal Google from Italy
  • pos #25 using Scroogle scraper from Italy
  • pos #20 using Link Assistant rank tracker
  • pos #65 using allno1 .com
  • pos #64 using rankchecker .com
  • pos #65 using a US proxy and a normal google
Looks obvious that the results tailored by Google for non-US IP visitor are different from the ones of a US-visitor.

The question is: how can I be sure about what is my REAL ranking, as viewed by a american customer?
Who can I trust?

    This is a difficult one as Google has a number of data centres and you can rank differently on each one so you'll never know an exact ranking.

    I suppose if you want to know where you rank in the US you could hire an American VA to check your rankings for you.
